Habitat for Humanity

Last week I had the opportunity to work on a Habitat for Humanity project with several other Fisher-Pricer's in the north end of Buffalo. This has to be one of the poorest neighborhoods in Buffalo. The experience was incredible and humbling. We worked on siding for most of the day. The house was renovated instead of being built from scratch. The house really will be nice once it is completed sometime in September. I encourage anybody to get involved in a Habitat for Humanity project in your area. It is very rewarding knowing you are helping a family who truly deserves it. To find projects in your local area go to this link and type in your zipcode.

Wow, Scott! Habitat for Humanity is such an awesome organization. My hubby was able to help build a home from scratch in Magna a few years back. He, too says that it was a very humbling experience.. something he will never forget. It's been about four years since he helped and we still drive through the neighborhood every so often to check on "his house." It's so rewarding to see a cute family living in a well deserved Habitat for Humanity Home.

I am so sad I missed you guys last week. I didn't realize everyone would be here for Dorothy's funeral.. just didn't think it through, I guess. I would have loved to see you guys! The pictures are priceless. I saw them on Staci's blog. How is your wife?

Keep posting! I love checking in with you guys even if it is just on your blog. At least we have that! :)
